PärdēPress was created out of my desire to create a space for girlfriends to acknowledge and celebrate each other. I realized that as I got older, the only time my girlfriends and I got together to celebrate each other was when one of them got married or was having a baby. That concept was unsettling, as I felt there had to be "more to celebrate than weddings and babies."

The big things, the little things, and all the moments in between. The promotion. The new apartment. The friendship that made it through another year. The hard thing you finally did. The ordinary Tuesday that turned out to be pretty damn good.
At PärdēPress, we believe celebration doesn't have to wait for a traditional milestone or a reason everyone else understands. Sometimes making it through is worth celebrating. Sometimes choosing yourself is worth celebrating. And sometimes, just because is reason enough.

The pärdē girl is a modern woman who refuses to adhere to societal viewpoints identifying what should make a woman's life complete. She recognizes that women can have a fulfilling life defined by their own terms. A woman's value isn't quantified by her connections to other people. And that women deserve to be celebrated in all seasons of life - whether married, single, a mom to children, pets, or plants, etc.
