why we
PärdēPress was created out of my desire to create a space for girlfriends to acknowledge and celebrate each other. I realized that as I got older, the only time my girlfriends and I got together to celebrate each other was when one of them got married or was having a baby. That concept was unsettling, as I felt there had to be "more to celebrate than weddings and babies."

One of the primary goals of sending a greeting card is to strengthen social bonds as technology continues to create distance within our interpersonal connections with people. Greeting cards are a way to bridge that gap, allowing us to acknowledge and celebrate each other intimately and amplify our connections with our friends and loved ones.

The pärdē girl is a modern woman who refuses to adhere to societal viewpoints identifying what should make a woman's life complete. She recognizes that women can have a fulfilling life defined by their own terms. A woman's value isn't quantified by her connections to other people. And that women deserve to be celebrated in all seasons of life - whether married, single, a mom to children, pets, or plants, etc.
